Santa Barbara fest to honor Ed Harris


September 03, 2008 The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is bestowing its third annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film on actor-director Ed Harris. Douglas himself will present the honor to Harris at the fest's annual black-tie gala dinner, which will be held at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara on Oct. 2. "Ed Harris is an actor's actor," said Roger Durling, SBIFF exec director.
