Gibson nabs first Palin interview

September 07, 2008 ABC News' Charles Gibson has snagged the sought-after first interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin since she was named the Republican vice presidential pick nearly two weeks ago. Gibson and executive producer Jon Banner locked down the interview on Friday night, when Gibson was in Los Angeles for the "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon in Los Angeles. Details of the interview have yet to be announced, but it's likely to take place within the next week and appear on all of ABC News' platforms including "World News With Charles Gibson" and possibly a primetime hour.
