Kogel's new venture to advise ProSieben

Constantin CEO stepping down at end of the year

By Scott Roxborough

COLOGNE, Germany -- Fred Kogel, the exiting CEO of German film group Constantin, is sidling up to old paymasters ProSiebenSat.1.

When Kogel resigns from Constantin at the end of the year, his new consulting firm will advise the troubled Munich-based broadcaster, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

Kogel used to run ProSieben's Berlin flagship channel Sat.1 and for several years sat on ProSieben's supervisory board.

Kogel has even been touted as a possible successor to ProSiebenSat.1 CEO Guillaume de Posch, but all sides deny that rumor.
